SSH Communications Security (SSH.COM) was founded by Tatu Ilonen after inventing the SSH protocol in 1995 in Finland. Tatu is also the author of the IETF standards for the SSH protocol. It also stands behind other significant cybersecurity technologies such as NAT Traverse. To this day it contributes to the development of OpenSSH.
